Agriturismo Le Farnie
Our farmouse is in Altomonte, typical medieval town near Cosenza. We are in Calabria, in an ancient farmstead dating back to '800 located in a wonderful panoramic position. The farm produces high quality oil at the ancient olive mill of the castle. Starting from the house you can easily reach the National Park of the Pollino, San Donato of Ninea, Civita, the Raganello Canyons, the Cave of Romito and the Park of the Sila.
Restaurant
The restaurant hall has been obtained from the ancient stables and it faces on an external area where you can have lunch in the open air during summer. The cuisine proposes the typical recipes of the local tradition, prepared with high quality ingredients directly produced in the biologic cultivations of our farm. Some of our best dishes are chicory soup, dry peppers, fettuccine with chickpeas, gnocchi with ragu and roast fagottini with homemade marmalades.
Activities
At the farm you can assist at the olive oil production and participate at various agricultural activities. We even organize delicious tastings and cooking classes, ideal to learn how to realize homemade marmalades. At your disposal boules court and table tennis. Outdoor activities lovers can organize excursions and bike trips through the various naturalistic paths of the region.

The farmhouse is at nearly 1,5 km from the inner city of Altomonte, a suggestive medieval town. Sea lovers can reach in only 40 minutes the wonderful Ionian coasts and visit Sibari, Cerchiara, Rossano, Corigliano and other interesting destinations on the Tyrrhenian side as Cetraro and Diamante. Calabria is the ideal region for those who want to live holidays in the pursuit of relax and nature. You can opt for a quadruple, two triples or two double rooms. The rooms are provided with Wi-Fi connection and independent entrance. Moreover, at your disposal parks for caravans and campers.
