Agriturismo Il Portone Borgo San Martino
We are in Abruzzo, in the context of an agricultural farm of nearly 40 hectares of land. The farmhouse is in Borgo San Martino, a little hamlet of Abbateggio in the province of Pescara. The touristic complex has been obtained from the restoration of a build up area, forsaken during the 50ies. The result is a naturalistic oasis of peace and tranquillity a few minutes from the beautiful Majella, one of the most important mountains of the region. Our geographic position is characterized by scenic views, waterfalls and ancient characteristic towns. We are the ideal solution for those who desire holidays in the pursuit of nature, tradition and open air activities.
Restaurant
The restaurant of our farmhouse is a cozy place where to taste the specialities of our tradition, prepared with biologic ingredients. The hall is composed of two floors, both in line with the traditional rural architecture. At the superior floor there is even a stone fireplace, ideal during the winter evenings. Every day we propose a fixed menu based on seasonal products that includes entrée, first and second course, fruit and dessert. At the guests disposal particular menus in case of food intolerances. The biologic ingredients of our recipes are obtained directly from our farm, guarantee of genuineness and quality.
Activities
Thanks to our territory it is possible to experience various open air activities. The green areas of our region, in particular the Park of the Majella, are the ideal location for excursions, bike tours and horse rides. In some natural reserves there are even areas for rock climbing. Moreover, during winter our mountains are covered by the snow and you can reach some beautiful ski slopes and other paths for alpinism and walks. Traditions enthusiasts can instead discover the various festivals in our vicinites, as the feast of San Bartolomeo, the Etnofestival of the Majella and the festival of the Spelt.

The farmhouse is located in the Natural Park of the Majella, in a little hamlet of Abbateggio in the province of Pescara. The privileged position, in front of the majestic mountains of our region, is the ideal starting point to discover the most interesting destination in the vicinities. There are different regional parks and WWF oasis and the three most important National Parks of the central Italy, Gran Sasso, Majella and Abruzzo. Moreover, we suggest you to visit other cultural and naturalistic destinations as the Eremi of San Bartolomeo, Santo Spirito and San Giovanni, the church of San Tommaso and the Valley of the Orfento.
