Agriturismo San Leonardello
Our farmhouse is located in the municipality of Giarre just a few minutes from Etna, Taormina and dye steps from the sea. The company is immersed in an organic citrus grove cultivated with lemons, oranges and kumquats from which jams, limoncello and liqueurs are produced. In our structure you can spend a comfortable and relaxing holiday all year round thanks to the particular Mediterranean climate. From the terraces of the rural houses, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the sea, Etna, Taormina, the coast of Calabria and ancient holiday homes.
Pool and Servicies
A splendid swimming pool immersed in the citrus garden is at the complete disposal of the guests of the agriturismo. We have free parking, wi-fi internet connection and a common kitchenette. In the large outdoor areas you can play table tennis, ride a mountain bike, jog, use the barbecue and, for the little ones, have fun in the play area. If reported before, and by prior arrangement, pets are accepted. In the farmhouse there are also facilities for the disabled.
Activities
We have a meeting room for events. Within the company you can do sports, cultural activities, cooking classes, guided tastings of wines and typical products. On request we organize bicycle excursions, beekeeping courses with visit to the beehives, environmental education courses, yoga, sewing and music therapy. It is possible to book boat trips along the Ionian coast, personalized excursions on Etna and tourist itineraries throughout eastern Sicily led by expert personnel.
Restaurant and Cooking Courses
For guests staying in San Leonardello it is possible to enjoy the typical Sicilian dinner. The best dishes of the Sicilian gastronomic tradition are made using the company's organic products, typical regional quality products and special family recipes that have been handed down for generations. We have a wide range of D.O.C. of Etna and Sicilian pastry products. At breakfast it is possible to taste the organic jams and orange blossom honey produced on the farm, the white flour bread or the typical Sicilian durum wheat bread. Seasonal fruit, biscuits, homemade cakes, milk, tea and coffee complete the choice. On request you can taste fresh eggs from our farm and in summer we also offer the typical Sicilian granita.
The Farm
The farm produces liqueurs, citrus fruit jams, jams and orange blossom honey. In the farmhouse there are several fruit plants and also a rich vegetable garden. All the farm's crops are organic and there is the possibility to buy freshly picked products such as lemons, kumquats, vegetables, seasonal fruits, eggs and dried fruit. There is also a small pet farm with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, ducks and turkeys.
Rooms and Apartments
All the accommodations are on the ground floor and have independent entrances, private bathrooms, heating, panoramic views and large outdoor spaces where you can find tranquility and well-being in contact with nature. We have rooms of various types for families or groups of friends. For those who prefer an apartment holiday we have various solutions for couples or families. We have apartments with two, three or four beds and other combinations to be agreed. The apartments have one or two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, a large living room with a kitchenette complete with oven and fridge and TV.
